1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BunkMatch ("the Service"), located at https://bunkmatch.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
BunkMatchis an online marketplace that connects individuals seeking short-term housing ("Seekers") with individuals offering short-term housing ("Listers").BunkMatch is a platform only — we are not a party to any rental agreement between Seekers and Listers.
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to use core features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
4. Fees
BunkMatch charges a one-time listing fee of $29 for Listers to publish a room listing. A background check fee of $29 is available to Seekers. Fees are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent the Service's fee structure
- Scrape or systematically access data from the Service
- Impersonate any person or entity
6. Listings
Listers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings. BunkMatch does not verify the accuracy of listing content, photographs, or descriptions. Seekers should independently verify all information before entering into any agreement.
7. Background Checks
Background checks are conducted by a third-party provider. BunkMatchdoes not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of background check results. Background check information is used solely for the purpose of verifying users' identities and criminal history for housing purposes.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. BUNKMATCH DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of Liability
BUNKMATCH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL BUNKMATCH'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO BUNKMATCH IN THE SIX MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or via the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
